You will read 2 formal letters and have to discuss the following:
  • Which letter, A or B,  is the best (most formal) and why?

- Which letter (A or B) you think is the best. 
- explain why it is the best letter by writing at least 2 arguments.

What I look for:
  • You use the layout conventions correctly in your formal letter (e.g. address, date etc)
  • You start the formal letter by greeting the recipient in a formal manner.
  • You start the formal letter by stating the purpose of writing.
  • You present yourself in the formal letter (e.g. experiences and skills)
  • You end the letter by asking a question or stating what you expect of the recipient.
  • Your overall tone in the letter is formal.
  • Your use of grammar and vocabulary is correct
