Re-cap of the tenses
Present Simple: Mainly used for facts, habits and truths.
Present continuous: When we are talking about activites, temporary situations and  things that are happening around now - (and future arrangements).
Present perfect: It connects the past to the present, so it is useful for talking about life experiences.
Present perfect continuous: For something that started in the past and is still continuing. We use it for things that have been going on for some time.

We make the present perfect with have or has and the past participle. It connects the past to the present. We use it to talk about life experiences.
Have you ever eaten insects? 
Have you ever been on safari?

 We also use the Present perfect to give news and to talk about things that happened a short time ago and are important now.
I have written a new book.
I've done my homework.

Present Perfect Continuous
We use present perfect continuous for actions that started in the past and continue now.
Sam’s been learning Greek since last June. 
We also use it for continuous actions in the recent past that have a result in the present.
My brother’s been baking cakes. The house smells lovely! 
We can also use it to emphasise the long duration of an activity.
We’ve been looking for you all morning!
