How do you prepare for the listening/watching exam?

• underline the important words in the answers that indicate what the answer is really about. 
• If you doubt between two answers: ask yourself which answer was mostly present in the fragment? What is it really about and which aspects were less relevant. 
• look for synonyms. Sometimes a synonym of a word in the answers is used in the fragment  

How to practice? 

• Practice listening at B2/C1 level in Holmwoods
• Practice listening/watching in Woots. There are three practice test available for you.
• Watch a lot of Netflix series, like The Crown (without subtitles or with English subtitles), Planet Earth. 

How to practice? 

• Watch BBC News, Al Jazeera, CNN 
• Listen to BBC radio/ a podcast on Spotify ( The Daily - The New York Times) / luisterboeken (Audible, Storytel, Nextory) -> Sherlock Holmes series, Harry Potter, Fantastic Beasts series, Jane Austen books  or anything else you find interesting
