Arts and crafts involve creating beautiful items using various materials. Today, we will use penne pasta to make a unique necklace.

Fine Motor Skills

Fine motor skills involve the use of small muscles to perform tasks like threading and beading. We will improve these skills while creating our necklace.

Materials Needed

Penne pasta, colorful paint, paintbrushes, string, and a picture of the Very Hungry Caterpillar for reference.

Creating the Caterpillar Pattern

We will paint the penne pasta in the colors of the caterpillar and then string them together to form the pattern.

Threading the Necklace

Carefully thread the painted penne pasta onto the string, following the caterpillar pattern to create the necklace.

Completing the Necklace

Tie the ends of the string together once all the pasta pieces are threaded to complete the necklace.
