Introduction

The Present Simple is used to talk about habits and facts.

She loves Maroon 5.

I usually go to school by bus. 

He walks the dog every morning. 

Rules present simple

I/You/We/You/They walk to work every Tuesday 

She/he/it walks to work every Tuesday.

-s toevoegen aan het werkwoord na he/she/it

Example: She swims every day. 

To be: am/is/are  -> I am a good student.

Rules present simple

Eindigt het woord met -s, -x, -z, -ch, -sh na he/she/it? 

Example: She brushes her hair. 

Do/Go 

I do everything at home.

He does everything at home.

Rules present simple

-y op het einde 

→ vervang je door -ies (na he/she/it) 

I study every afternoon.

She studies every afternoon. 

Staat er een a, e, i, o of u voor de -y, dan voeg je alleen een -s toe! 

I buy bags online.

She buys bags online.
