Als je een zin met een hulpwerkwoord maakt, zoals can, could, must, may, might, dan gebruik je daarna het hele werkwoord van to be.

My phone must be stolen.

The door can be locked now.

Practise using Passive voice. Work in pairs. Put the sentences into the passive voice(present and past):

Example: Anna painted the house. -> The house was painted by Anna.

1. They sell cheese here.

2. Someone broke in this house.

3. They clean our classrooms twice a week.

4. The police caught the thieves.

Then check your answers.
