Today, you will investigate if globalization is a recent phenomenon and what the role of colonization and decolonization is in the globalization process.

Since the age of exploration, many countires in Asia, Africa and Latin America have played a role in the worldwide economic system. Europe dominated this system. This system gave rise to a contradiction between the core and periphery.
