1. The sun rises in the east.
2. I eat cornflakes every morning.
3. We usually cycle to school.

Habits and regular events:

every, usually, always, never, often, sometimes, rarely or regularly.

The verb 'to be' (het ww zijn)

she/he/it + verb + s (the shit rule)

You add -es if the verb ends in -s, -x, -z, -ch or -sh after he, she, it.

I never catch the ball.

She never catches the ball.

You add -es to do and go after he, she, it.

I do my best.

He does his best.

We go to school.

She goes to school

-y at the end of a verb becomes -ies after he, she or it.

I try to be relaxed.

He tries to be relaxed.

If there is an a, e, i, o, or u before the -y, you add -s after he, she or it.

I buy my shirts online.

She buys her shirts online.
