Als er twee dingen zijn gebeurt in het verleden,  het één onderbreekt het ander.

actie die eerst begon --> past continuous

actie die onderbrak --> past simple

persoonsvorm + was/were + werkwoord-ing

"I was skating when I fell and broke my foot"

"we laughed when we were watching that movie"

I/he/she/it = was

you/we/they = were

Past continuous 

Vul de juiste vorm van het werkwoord tussen haakjes in, let goed op of het past simple of past continuous moet zijn.
