What are we going to learn today?
Today we will be learning:
How fertilization takes place.
How fruits are formed.
What different types of fruit there are.

Slide 7 - Tekstslide

Fertilization
After pollination took place, a pollen tube is formed so the nucleus of the pollen can get into the ovary. Within the ovary are different ovules, with each having their own egg cell.
When the nucleus of the pollen and the egg cell melt together, fertilization takes place.

Slide 8 - Tekstslide

After fertilization
When all the ovules are fertilized, the ovary will grow into a fruit. Because the ovules are in the ovary, the seeds will be in the fruit as well.
