Writing part 2
Formal letter writing

Main difference: you use formal language instead of informal language

This means:
- no contractions (I'm, you're, haven't, etc.)
- no slang (wanna, gonna, ain't, etc.)
- do not use 'you' except when you actually mean the person you are writing to

Writing part 2
A formal letter consists of (at least) three paragraphs:

paragraph 1: you state where and when you read the application, where and when you bought something you have a complaint about, etc.

paragraph 2: you introduce yourself stating your name, age, gender, place of living, education

paragraph 3: you express your hopes; ask questions.
