Mock Unit - Task 1

Create a visual identity for Where Abouts

Create a new folder for iMedia

Create a KS4 Folder > Inside it create a folder called "iMedia"

Inside your iMedia folder create a folder called "R094 - Mock Unit"

Inside your R094 - Mock Unit Folder create a folder called "Visual Identity"

Task - Where Abouts Visual Identity

Create a new PowerPoint and set a title page called:

"Where Abouts Visual Identity"

and then include your name.

Save into your "Visual Identity folder".

Logo Ideas Mood Board

Use a search engine to search for six (or more) examples of travel logos.  Paste your chosen logos on to a new slide in your PowerPoint.

These logos are for inspiration when you design your own logo for Where Abouts.

Task - Create a visual identity plan

You need to now design a visual identity plan. This should be on paper.

It should include:

1. A sketch of your logo/s - icons to represent your brand.
2. Your chosen colour scheme and  justification of why it is suitable.
3. Your chosen typography and justification of why it is suitable.

Task - Create logo in Canva

Log into to Canva and create your logo from your visual identity plan. 

Once logged in search logo and then choose "Blank Logo". Remember elements for images and text for text.

Once complete, download your logo (as a transparent PNG) to the R094 folder that you created at the start of the lesson.

Task - List your brand values

Add a new slide to your PowerPoint.

Add in your completed logo from Canva and then underneath list your brand values. You may want to look at the client brief again - this is on Teams.

Save your PowerPoint to your R094 Mock - Visual Identity Folder and upload to TurnitinUK.
