Because of the previous quiz a teacher may want to skip this version and just do a class discussion.
Suffixes
OE suffixes such as
o    -ed, (= used for the past simple & past-participle suffix of weak verbs)
o    -en, (= making verbs from adjectives or nouns)
o    -er, (= native words for a person with certain characteristics, skills etc)
o    -ful (= filled with)
o    -ish (= acting like)
o    -less (= without)
o    -ly, (= like)
o    -ness (= used to produce nouns)

Teacher quickly retrieves prior knowledge, could be of other languages, on affixes, prefixes and suffixes as something that is add on to a root word to form a new word or change the meaning of the root word. Teacher may need to retrieve grammar terminology such as; adjectives, nouns, verbs and adverbs.

Give examples of words which include these suffixes or have students give examples.
Suffixes
NF suffixes such as
o    -able, (= generally adding a notion of something, used to form adjectives)
o    -acy (= making nouns of quality, state, or condition)
o    -ate (= used to form nouns)
o    -ment (= forming nouns )
o    -tion (= forming nouns)
o    -ure (= abstract nouns of action)
