In our last lesson we started working on our maps.

The imperative

In Dutch: Gebiedende wijs. 

Je vertelt iemand dat ze iets moeten doen,

zonder te beginnen met de persoon. 

Je begint dus meteen met de actie. 

Go left. Open the window. Cross the street. Close your books. 

Don't go to the roundabout. Don't cheat on your test. 

Directions: Tips (all imperative)

Tips: 

- Use the imperative

- Use variation in your language

- Give extra information here and there

- Talk about what you can see 

Phrases to help you:

(You could write these down in the 'chunks' p.8)

- Turn left                           - Go between the two ...  

- Cross the road             - Follow the road for ... m.

- You should see ...        - You are in front of ...
