Un- means ‘not’ (we do not use the machine) or ‘the opposite’: Unlock = Opposite of locked (to open)

-ful means something or someone has a certain characteristic (eigenschap).
My cat is HAIRLESS.

-less means ‘without’

You use -ing for products of actions, so to use a verb (action) and turn into a noun (product). For example -> A painting = a product of the action paint.
This is a very READABLE book.
