Reading - strategies
- Unknown words? Don't look them up immediately. Do you need the word to answer the question? -> look it up. Sometimes the context will give you the definition. Think about suffixes/prefixes and use your knowledge of other languages, divide the word into bits. 

- Read the title, the source, pictures, the author etc. First sentence of every paragraph and last sentence give the an idea of the content/most important message . Read the questions an look at the specific paragraph.

Reading strategies 
- crossing out the answers step by step can help you. 
- specific info? -> scanning, 
general idea? -> skimming
- detailed reading? -> questions about what the author says/concludes. 

- sometimes questions about emotions/tone (irony, sarcasm etc.) For example: words like incredibly, exceptionel, ludicrous, fantastic, unfortunately, awesome etc. 
- linking words -> conclusions, contrasting, reasons etc.

- lesson 1 t/m 5 vocab (geen expressions), would/used to, present perfect continuous, gerund 
- leesvaardigheid teksten (2 lange, 1 korte) + woordenboek
