Als we het hebben over situaties die onwaarschijnijk zijn.

Gaat waarschijlijk niet gebeuren.

Je hebt een if-clause en een main-clause

Voorbeeld:

  If she was a millionaire, she would be happy. 

Second conditional 

Vorm:

If-clause: past simple

main-clause: would + infinitive

Second conditional 

Belangrijk: 

Bij het werkwoord 'to be' gebruik je in de if-clause bij de onderwerpen I, she, he, it --> were

If I were a panda, I would sleep all day.

Fill in:
If I _____ (win) the lottery, I _____ (be) very happy.

Fill in:
If she _____ (be) here, I _____ (tell) her that I love her.

Fill in:
My mother ____ (have) gone to India, if we ____ (be- not) in lockdown.

If shoppers ___ (pay) for plastic bags, they ___ (reuse) more of them.
