§11.6 Mixed exercises

Not all exercises on the test are like:

solve this binomial or trinomial. No matter how important they are.

To help you doing more practical exercises too, here follow a few

tasks-from-a- story and a picture.

Instead of: 'Do this task all by yourself', you will solve the task bit by bit!

So that some one who gets stuck at a), can go on with b) after all!

First get organised:

- open your Notebook

- take a pen and an eraser before you

- we are going to start with the 1st exercise!

Write down your answer for

a in your Notebook.

TIP: area rectangle = length x width

43 b.  Make in your Notebook:

TIP:  The path consists of 3(!) parts. Two rectangles and a square. Find those and add them up if possible!

Try §11.6:            41,      44.    AND    45

-  you may ask or give help to somebody else, as long as you WHISPER

-  there are no tasks that can be answered by 'yes' or 'no',

    give a serious answer, containing a calculation everytime

- only in this way you are really working on the TEST LEVEL!

- next slide shows you exercise 41 completely (you can also use the book!)

If you have tried hard to solve 41, 42, 44 and 45,

you will certainly have learnt a lot!
