Before listening: Predicting (voorspellen)

• Look at the screenshot and the question 
•  What do you think the video will be about? 
• What do you know about the subject already? 

While listening: 3 ways of listening

1. Global listening (globaal luisteren)
   
2.  Intensive listening (intensief/nauwkeurig luisteren)
3. Focused listening (zoekend/gericht luisteren)

Global listening

 What is the video about:

• Who are the main characters?
• Where are they?
• What are they doing or telling you?

Global listening

 What is the video about:

• Who are the main characters?
• Where are they?
• What are they doing or telling you?

Intensive listening

•  Listen a second time. Try to understand as much as possible (don't worry, you don't need to understand everything!)

•  This way of listening helps when you have to answer yes/no questions and  multiple choice questions (meerkeuze vragen)

Focused listening

•  Searching for specific information (like in the question of exercise 1)
•  Useful for fill-in-the-gap exercises (invulvragen)
