The most important technique to change DNA is crispr-cas. Work together with the person you are sitting next with and look up some information about it. Write about 3-5 sentences about what it can do, how it works and how it can help us. You have 5 minutes of time for this.

CRISPR-CAS is a DNA technique with which we can change the DNA of an organism. These methods are called recombinant DNA techniques.

Genomics is research of finding out where all of your genes are located and how they can be ''turned on and off''. This is very important for treating diseases and finding out wheter someone has a certain disease.

eDNA
It is very important for ecologists to know how many species are in a certain ecosystem. We count this by catching them. Researchers are developing a new technique where they can see the DNA in sea water to estimate how many species are in the sea.

Synthetic biology
Reseachers are so interested in how life work so we can replicate these techniques. Think about solar panels and lab-meat. One other application is making DNA ourselves so we can store data with it.
