We gebruiken used to om te praten over iets wat vroeger zo was, maar nu niet meer.

De formule hiervoor is: onderwerp + used to + hele werkwoord

• John and Vicky used to be married.
• I used to have two dogs.
• She used to live in London.
• When I was 6 years old I used to swim twice a week.
