These words are used to connect two main sentences.

Examples: and, but, or, so

Yesterday, I went to the store AND I went to the beach.

I like zoo's BUT I don't like seeing animals in cages.

Dependent Sentence Conjunctions: These words are used to connect a main sentence with a dependent sentence.

When do you use capital letters (hoofdletters)

1. Start of a Sentence: The cat is sleeping.
2. Proper Nouns: John, New York, Monday
3. “I”: Always capitalize the pronoun “I”: I am going to the park.
4. Titles: Capitalize the first and important words in titles of books, movies, and songs.
