Hoe maak je de Past Simple?

Belangrijke woorden

In de zin staan woorden als:

yesterday, last night, two days ago, in 2017, 

the day before yesterday, last week, last month,

30 minutes ago, etc.

Regel nummer 1:

He was ill yesterday.       She could bake a cake last week.

Was he ill yesterday?     Coud she bake a cake last week?

Bij was/were en alle hulpwerkwoorden (zoals could) wissel je onderwerp en persoonsvorm om.

I carried that box for you yesterday.

Did I carry that box for you yesterday?

Bij alle andere werkwoorden zet je did voor het onderwerp en schrijf je daarna het HELE WERKWOORD op.

Bij was/were en alle hulpwerkwoorden plak je 'not' achter het werkwoord.

Bij alle andere werkwoorden zet je didn't voor het hoofdwerkwoord. 

LET OP!! Wanneer je didn't voor het hoofdwerkwoord zet, moet het hoofdwerkwoord het HELE WERKWOORD worden.
