• als je iets voorspelt zonder bewijs

Maak je door: will + hele ww

Bijvoorbeeld:

Shall: aan het begin van een vraag

Gebruik je bij: 

• als iemand iets in de toekomst (niet) van plan is
• voorspelling met bewijs

Maak je door: am/are/is + going to + hele ww

Bijvoorbeeld:

Look at the clouds, it is going to rain

Sheila is not going to go to the party

Kijk maar naar het verschil:

Look at the dark clouds! It is going to rain!

Take an umbrella! It will rain!

Look at the difference:

I am going to throw a party this weekend.

I have nothing to do this weekend, maybe I will go shopping.
