You are going to write notes summarising the basics of metallic bonding.

These notes must include:
  • A description and labelled diagram showing the structure of a pure metal. (Must include charges on particles).
  • A labelled diagram showing the structure of an alloy.
  • Definitions of the words on the following page.
  • An explanation of the properties of pure metals and alloys (electrical conductivity, thermal conductivity, malleability, ductility, strength of pure metal vs alloy, melting point).
I have attached videos to help you, however I would encourage you to use other reliable sources to supplement e.g. the BTEC textbook.

There are slides where you can attach a picture of your notes, so that I can review them. 

There are some questions to answer at the end of the slides. You will need a periodic table to help you with some of the answers.
