Prepositions of place

We gebruiken at als je het hebt over dat iemand of iets 

bij een bepaalde locatie is:

--> I'm waiting for you at the airport.

We gebruiken on als je het over de oppervlakte hebt 

/ iets ergens bovenop is:

--> I'm sitting on the table.

We gebruiken in als je het hebt over dat iemand 

of iets in een bepaalde locatie is:

--> I'm sleeping in my bed.

Prepositions of time

We gebruiken at als je het hebt over specifieke tijdstippen:

--> We will arrive at noon / 3 o'clock / lunchtime.

We gebruiken on als je het hebt over dagen en data:

--> We will arrive on Sunday / your birthday / 10 April 1989.

We gebruiken in als je het hebt over langere periodes of als je het woord 'over' bedoeld:

--> We will arrive in August / spring / the evening / 10 minutes.
