What muscles consist of.
How muscles work.
What kind of muscle tissues there are.

Slide 2 - Tekstslide

Muscular system
To move, we don't only need synovial joints, but we also need muscles to move the bones. Muscles are connect with your bones by tendons, and they work by pulling a certain bone. Muscles can only pull a bone, so not push a bone.

Antagonistic pair
As previously mentioned, muscles can only pull, and not push. That's why at least 2 muscles work together to enable a full movement. These are called antagonistic muscle pairs

Organ muscles
Muscles that are connected to your bones are part of the muscular system. However, there are also a lot of muscles in other organs. These muscles move involuntarily. Can you name a example of one?
