There are three degrees of comparison: 

• adjective (adverb)(bijv.nw)
• comparative  (vergelijking)
• superlative  (overtreffen)
  

Comparatives and superlatives

Box C is small.

Box B is smaller than box C.

Box A is the smallest of all.

1*  lettergreep, eindigt op een klinker (vowel) en medeklinker (consonant?) --> dan medeklinker verdubbelen.
