This unit's objective

This unit is about the way you communicate and socialise with your family, friends and colleagues. You'll learn new and relevant vocabulary and practise listening (Part 4) and speaking. Furthermore, you'll practise with Reading and Use of English Part 6. The grammar of unit 2 is about the passive and how to apply 'used to' and 'be/get used '.

When do you use a passive?

1.  What happens is more important than who does it.

2. We don't know who does/did something

3. When it is obvious who do it.

4. When writing in a formal style.
