How to start a postcard?

1. With or without a name after :

Salut! , Bonjour!, Coucou

2. Add a name for

Cher  / Chère / Chers  /Chères ...  (Dear)

Pour cher/chère/chers/chers

Cher + nom (masc sing)

             Exemple : Cher Papa
 Chère + nom  (fem sing)

             Exemple : Chère Marie

Chers +nom  (masc plu)

            Exemple : Chers Papa et Maman, Chers Marc et Marie

Chères + nom (fem plur)

            Exemple : Chères Caroline et Nathalie

Start  with a question

Comment ça va ? (very casual)

Comment vas-tu ? (informal)

Comment allez-vous? (formal & plural)

Ask them the meanings of these sentences in English

The message:

• what you've done, seen, eaten --> passé composé
• means of transport ---> en bateau, en avion, à velo etc
• describe the place ----> Il y a + une montagne, une rivière etc
•  positive/negative opinion ---> Je pense que c'est, Je crois que c'est

The weather ---->

• Il fait beau: The weather is beautiful
  
• Il fait chaud: It is hot
• Il fait froid: It is cold
• Il pleut: It is raining
• Il neige: It is snowing

what you are going to do ----> futur proche

• Je vais nager, Je vais faire du ski etc

use time markers ----> Le matin, le soir, la nuit

use cohesive devices ----> parce que , mais, et, aussi
