Goodnight Saigon
Goodnight Saigon is a song written by Billy Joel. The song is about American soldiers who were sent to fight in Vietnam. Once the soldiers arrived at the battlefield their struggle would not only be about facing their ‘enemy'. (Think about this for a moment)
The song paints a picture of what it is like to go through the horrors of this war.

A lot of people thought it was wrong to be a part of the Vietnam War and by the end of the 60’s public protest became louder and louder. The Vietnam war was from November 1955 to the fall of Saigon in April 1975.
