capital letters?

Correct the mistakes:
i go to school on monday. anna and sandra play basketball on tuesdays. may is in spring. jerusalem is the capital city of israel. tamara has her birthday in october. my dad speaks english and hebrew. tom lives in the usa.

Trappen van vergelijking

Om dingen of mensen te beschrijven gebruik je bijvoeglijke naamwoorden, zoals: a small boy / a clever boy / a beautiful boy.

Je kunt er vergelijkingen mee maken door ze in de vergrotende en overtreffende trap te zetten, bijvoorbeeld:

Small - smaller - smallest

Beautiful - more beautiful - most beautiful

Één lettergreep

Bijvoeglijke naamwoorden van één lettergreep krijgen -er en -est:

kind (aardig)                                            kinder                                               kindest

small (klein)                                             smaller                                             smallest

tough (taai, ruw)                                    tougher                                            toughest

rich (rijk)                                                     richer                                                richest

cool (koel)                                                  cooler                                               coolest

Bij bijvoeglijke naamwoorden van één lettergreep die eindigen op a/e/i/o/u + een medeklinker
wordt de laatste letter verdubbeld + -er en -est:

hot (heet)                                                    hotter                                                hottest

big (groot)                                                   bigger                                               biggest

Bijvoeglijke naamwoorden van één lettergreep die eindigen op -e, krijgen -r en -st:

large (groot)                                                larger                                                largest 

Twee lettergrepen

Bij een bijvoeglijk naamwoord van 2 lettergrepen, eindigend op -y, - er , - ow, - le dan wordt  "-er" of "-est" achter het woord geplaatst:

She is a pretty girl.                                       She is prettier than her sister.                                       She is the prettiest girl of them all. 

This food is bitter.                                         This food is bitterer than the                                        This food is the bitterest I have  ever had.
                                                                               food I had last night. 

It is a narrow space.                                     This space is narrower.                                                   That space is the narrowest. 

They are gentle people.                             They are gentler than her.                                              They are the gentlest people I know.

You are going to sell a sports item on Ebay. 

After your introduction and explanation why you are selling it, you write the following:

- Wat verkoop je?

- Hoe oud is het?
- Overtuig mensen waarom zij dit moeten kopen. Geef twee redenen.

- Hoeveel geld wil je er minimaal voor?

- Informeer dat je een gedeelte van de verzendkosten meebetaalt. 

- Sluit correct af.

Speaking practice

You are meant to have your next English class. Your class has been waiting for quite some time, but your teacher is still not there. A classmate deceides to tell the school's manager. The manager tried to contact your teacher, but she was unsuccessful. 

Your teacher's partner saw her for the last time last night. She was carrying a big bag with her. After that, there has been no contact. It seems that your teacher has just disappeared. 

In the meantime, tired and exhausted, your teacher made her way along the path through the forest. She enters a clearing and there it is: the time machine.
It wasn't there last time.
 Cautiously, she enters it..
