Encourage students to think about what they are good at or maybe something they have done they are proud of. It could be that they are a good friend etc...
We are have a mix of positive and negative thoughts, what could help build your confidence?

Try to listen to both of them at the same time.

Try to let them go and listen to the ones that help you.
