Present Continuous

                                 am/are/is + verb + ing

• meetings/plans of which the time is set. You are certain it will happen. 
• We are having dinner at a restaurant at 6.30.
• I am flying to Paris next week.

Let op!

You already know: to be going to. This looks like a present continuous but it is different:  

- plan that is fixed= present continuous future 

- plan that is not fixed/intention = to be going to + ww

Future will/shall

De future vorm will + heel ww en shall + heel ww wordt gebruikt om iets aan te bieden (to offer), iets te beloven (to promise), of om voorspellingen (to predict) te maken. 

-The teacher will help you.

- I promise, I will do the dishes tonight. 

- I predict I will ace this test, I studied so hard!

• will + have + past participle. 
• To talk about something that will be completed before a specific time in the future. 
• By 2026, the government will have taken measures against climate change. 
• He will have completed / He will have worked. 

future continuous

• shall/will + a form of to be + ww+ing
• Example: My mom will be staying in Paris for 2 months. 
• Example: We will be travelling to that event at 2 PM. 
• Future events that will be going on for a longer period of time.  
• 2) Future events that will be going on at a specific time.
