Terraced house

A terraced house is a home that is built in a row. In front of the house is often a street. The houses all look alike. The house has more than one floor or storey. You can find terraced houses in the Netherlands. 

Bungalow 

A bungalow is a small house. A bungalow has one floor/storey and doesn't have stairs. In the Netherlands we use bungalows as  houses to stay in when you go on a holiday.  Around the world bungalows are small houses that don't connect to other houses. 

Houseboat

A houseboat is a house on the water. It is a small house that floats.  Most houseboats don't have a toilet that flushes or a shower. The people that live on a houseboat have to go on land to use the toilet or shower. There are exceptions.

Yurt

A yurt is a traditional round tent. The tent is a home for nomads. Nomads are people who have large groupes of sheep or other animals and are always on the move. You won't really see people using a yurt in the Netherlands. People in Central Asia use a yurt as home.
