My Last Cinema VisitLast Saturday, my mate Tom and I decided to go to the cinema. We wanted to watch a science-fiction film, but the whole world seemed to be there! Seriously, even my grandma’s neighbor’s cat was in the queue. The tickets were sold out. So, we picked an animated film instead.
Before the film started, we bought popcorn, soda, and—wait for it—balloons. Tom said, “If the movie is boring, at least we can fly away.” Classic Tom.
The film was about a group of kids who went on an adventure to find out about a secret island. In one scene, a talking parrot stole a banana from a pirate and started giving a dramatic speech about friendship. I nearly choked on my popcorn from laughing!
But the best part? The ending! The main hero was about to save the day, and then—boom!—the power went out in the cinema. We sat in the dark for five minutes, listening to someone snoring in the back row. When the lights came back, the film had already finished. Tom turned to me and said, “Well, that was fun.”Next time, we’re bringing a torch.
