Positive: No other metal is as precious as gold.

meaning of a sentence. Study the following Examples.

1.  Comparative: He is not stronger than me.
Positive: I am as strong as him.

2.  Comparative: Alice is taller than any other girl in the class.
Positive: No other girl in the class is as tall as Alice.

Example
COMPARATIVE: WILLIAM  IS WISER THAN JOHN.
(Subject + verb + Comparative form + than + object)

 POSITIVE: JOHN IS NOT AS WISE AS WILLIAM.
(Object * + verb + not + so/as + positive form + as + Subject)
