- When to use: to talk about plans or intentions and to make predictions
- How to make: vorm van "to be" + going to (spreektaal: gonna)
      - I am going to go on holiday

- Allowed to: sth you can do because of rules, authority. "you are allowed to use a dictionary during your exam".
- Must: an obligation because of rules. "You must wear a hair net in the kitchen"
- Have to: still an obligation, but not because of authority. "I have to wake up at 6".
- should: advice, it's better if you do it, but not an obligation. "You should tell him you love him".
- can: for asking and giving permission. "can I sit here?"
