Waarom deze lessen?

• Je hebt laten zien meer aan te kunnen dan de mavo
• Er is een (grote) kans dat je volgend jaar mag instromen in havo 2
• In de havo/vwo brugklassen hebben ze enkele onderwerpen of onderdelen geleerd die jij niet in je mavo/havo brugklas hebt geleerd
• Zo ga je goed voorbereid en zonder achterstand havo 2 in!

Question tags

What are tags?

Tags zijn korte vraagjes waarmee je om bevestiging vraagt aan de luisteraar.

In het Nederlands is dit bijvoorbeeld “Toch?” of “vind je niet?”

Bijvoorbeeld: Owen woont in Zoetermeer, toch?

Dit bestaat ook in het Engels!

Engelse short answers zijn te vergelijken met de onderstaande Nederlandse voorbeelden:

Heb jij een kat? - Ja, die heb ik/ Ja, die dat klopt.

Kan jij jongleren? - Ja, dat kan ik / Ja, dat klopt.

Is het al vier uur? - Nee, dat is het niet .

De Engelse taal ik een beleefde taal! Daarom is alleen ja of nee zeggen onbeleefd in het Engels

Short answers - How to use

Je short answer bestaat uit "yes" or "no", een komma, het persoonlijke voornaamwoord van het onderwerp en het hulpwerkwoord in de juiste vorm

Is she single? - Yes, she is.

Can the Eagles win tonight? - No, they can't.

Has the doctor finished his surgery yet? - No, he/she hasn't.
