Present Simple (Future)

The train leaves at 6 o'clock.

Is used to say that something will happen in the future according to a schedule/planning.


He/She/It = Verb+s
Present Continuous (Future)

I am meeting John for dinner later

Is used to say something about arrangements in the future.



am/is/are + verb+ing

To be going to (Future)

I am going to have eggs for breakfast tomorrow.
We are going to win the game! 
(Last minute: 10-0)

Is used for plans and intentions. These plans are not set in stone! And predictions with proof.
be going to + verb

Will (Future)

I will help you with your homework tomorrow.
I think we will this game! 
(Before the game)

Is used to show willingness and predictions without proof.

will + verb

Is used to describe an action that will be taking place in the future.

Plurals (Meervoud)

General rule
Add -s to the end
cat - cats
house - houses

If noun ends in -s,-ss,-sh,-ch,-x,-z 
bus - buses
lunch - lunches
 
Sometimes the s doubles
gas - gasses
Sometimes if nouns end in f or -fe, it turns into a -ve, but not always.
wife - wives
wolf - wolves
roof - roofs

If a noun ends with y and y a consonent:
city - cities
puppy - puppies

But if y is a vowel:
boy - boys

Plurals (Meervoud)

Sometimes if noun ends in o:
potato -potatoes
But sometimes not:
photo - photos

If noun ends in -us
cactus - cacti

If noun ends in -is:
analysis - analyses
ellipsis - ellipses
Nouns that end in -on
phenomenon - phenomena
criterion - criteria

Some nouns don't change at al
sheep - sheep
series - series
deer - deer

Some nouns have irregular forms:
child - children
man - men
woman - women
person - people

Possessive S (Bezit)

If we express possession, we add 's to a word:
This is Sam's bicycle
Our children's toys are everywhere!

If there are more people:
Sam and Emma's house

With regular plural nouns:
They're my parents' friends

With irregular plural nouns:
They're my children's bicycles.
We also use 's for other things
Don't confuse them!

Jack's in the classroom 
(Jack is in the classroom)

Jack's got a new laptop
(Jack has got a new laptop)

We NEVER fully write out possesions
Here is Jack's room
NOT
Here is Jack his room.

A/An for unspecified things

The for specific things

A for words that start with a consonent sound
