Lesson Goals

At the end of this lesson you:

-What to expect in term 1

Overview term 1

During term 1 we will study 2 chapters.

You will have the following tests:

• SO chapter 1 (weight 1)
• Book test (weight 2)
• Listening test (weight 3)
• Reading test (weight 3)
• Grammar chapter 1+2 test (weight 3)

How to prepare for tests:

Learning vocabulary: Start early and focus on small groups of words every day (eg learn 6 words per day). Repeat these regularly.

Learning grammar: practice makes perfect. Use the book, worksheets, practice websites...

How to prepare for tests

Reading: 

Practise reading and understanding the questions.

Listening:

Practise reading and understanding the questions, but also listen to English regularly (eg music, films, podcasts etc)
