What is a caption?
Photo captions, also known as cutlines, are a few lines of text used to explain and elaborate on published photographs. ... Captions more than a few sentences long are often referred to as a "copy block".

Slide 5 - Tekstslide

How to write a caption on a photo
Check the facts. ...
Captions should add new information. ...
Always identify the main people in the photograph.
A photograph captures a moment in time. ...
Conversational language works best. ...
The tone of the caption should match the tone of the image.

Another Tip
Photo captions should be written in complete sentences and in the present tense. The present tense gives the image a sense of immediacy. When it is not logical to write the entire caption in the present tense, the first sentence is written in the present tense and the following sentences are not.
