Adjective

het bijv. nw. staat vaak achter werkwoorden zoals:

(to be), seem & look

He looks worried.

She seems weird.

I am cooked.

Adjectives zeggen iets over een zelfstandig naamwoord.

The car is red

The red car.

Adjective

Sommige bijv. nw. zeggen iets over de frequentie van iets:

He often goes to the gym.

She never eats spaghetti.

Waar staan deze woorden in de zin?

she is always getting her job done.

They are usually done by 10pm.

^ waarom zijn dit uitzonderingen?

What is an adjective?

Where can I find adjectives in a sentence?

1. After the verb to be, to look and to seem.
2. behind the personal pronouns.
3. before a noun
4. next to a past perfect

Adverbs

Adverbs zijn adjectives, maar vertellen wat over werkwoorden (en dus niet znw.)

He quickly eats his beautiful pasta sandwich.
