We use used to to talk about something that used to be the case, but is no longer the case.

The formula for this is: subject + used to + whole verb

  • How does these sentences feel?
  • I wanted to bake a cake. I went to the store. I bought flour and sugar. I bought chocolate frosting to go on top. I also got fresh strawberries to put on the cake.
  • Spot the difference:
