Rule: Would & used to

To talk about habits and repeated actions in the past, we can use: used to / didn't  use  to and would(n't).

We don't use would to talk about a past state

Would is used to emphasize that the actions is typical of a person or a situation.

used to vs would

would is never used for a state

"I would live in london when I was a little girl"

"I used to live in london when I was a little girl"

adverbs of frequency	They always used to go the seaside whenever they could.

The adverb of frequency comes before used to.
