Zwitsers onderzoek: geen telefoons geeft ongeveer 1 uur extra effectieve lestijd als resultaat. Het probleem is het multitasking. Prikkels op 1 dag van ons staat gelijk aan prikkels in een heel leven in de Middeleeuwen. Ons brein is nog niet geëvolueerd.

We zijn onder het gemiddelde gezakt. Onderzoekers denken dat dit door ICT gebruik in de klas komt, mobiele telefoon maar ook ineffectief gebruik van laptops etc.
