Active vs Passive

The penguins are the ones doing the action, they are active.

My sister is not doing the action, she is passive.

Present passive

I wash the car every week.	The car is washed (by me) every week.
You make the pizza every Sunday.	The pizza is made every Sunday.
We read the newspapers online.	The newspapers are read online.

How to form a present passive voice?

am / are / is + past participle

(form of be) + voltooid deelwoord

Past passive

I washed the car yesterday.	The car was washed (by me) yesterday
You made pizza last Sunday.	The pizza was made last Sunday.
We read the newspapers on paper in the past.	The newspapers were read on paper in the past.
