GPR: Command words

Most GPR examination questions do not end with a question mark but instead use a word that tells the learner what they need to do. 

For example, ‘Explain’, Describe’, ‘Compare’ and ‘Discuss’. These words are often called command words.

On page 8 in your book under 'The Critical Path' you find 4 activities mentioned that start with command words (in italics).

In pairs: Have a look at the sentences these command words are used in and give a user-friendly definition of what these words entail. Enter your answers (4) into the next slide.

Assignment

Write a mini-essay (300-500 words) in which you elaborate on the discussion concerning 'creativity in schools'. You can share your sources amongst each other and should (then) have ample material to identify and explore all the different viewpoints. You consider the different strengths and weaknesses of all sides and try to explain your own ideas on the matter.
