Greek religion --> polytheistic religion ( most of the Greek people believed in the gods)

Greek gods are immortal 

Each god had a task (war, wisdom, hunt or crops.)

The stories told about the gods is what we call myths.

The Greeks used myths to explain everything.

There were scholars who didn't agree with myths.

Hippocrates taught his student to study people's behavior and lifestyle. Why?

Science: Gaining knowlegde by studying things and events. 

Scientists look for explanations and try to find proof.

Some Greeks used another method to understand the world. 

Not by making observations but rather thinking hard. 

They aksed themselves the questions;

• What is the best form of government 
• What is the meaning of life 

Philosophy: Searching for wisdom and knowledge in an effort to better understand the world and people. 

Socrates and Plato were against democracy.
