From big to small

New cells

Cells need to be refilled when they get damaged or die. Your body also needs new cells when you grow. This happens through cell division. 

Stages of cell division

Stem cells

When cells divide they don't really have a function yet. They can still turn into many different cells. These are called stem cells. After fertilizations, cells are made that can really become anything they want (making them super powerful). These are called embryonic stem cells.
